ABOUT BATTERY PRO SOUTH AFRICA
The origins of what is today known as BATTERY PRO date back to March 2013, when the late Dirk Bothma laid out a vision to bring high quality automotive batteries to the South African market.
After much research, Dirk identified the MAXIM battery range for both its quality and performance.
Dirk then entered into a joint venture with Anton Mulder, a fellow businessmen from Cape Town, and imported the first container of MAXIM batteries for distribution to wholesalers mainly in the Western Cape and Gauteng.

A NATIONWIDE FOOTPRINT IN ONLY 5 YEARS
One year later, in April 2014, Dirk decided to grow the business through making available dealerships throughout South Africa and embarked on a major marketing strategy under the BATTERY PRO brand, with its own distinctive image.
Today, a mere 5 years after the first container of MAXIM batteries were landed in South Africa, BATTERY PRO has a national footprint of 33 outlets.
A further 8 outlets are currently being established and another 14 have been earmarked for opening over the next two years.
